- It's hard to avoid, explains Urban Johansson about his obvious choice of profession as a weaver.

Urban Johansson is the youngest of Vitalis and Signe Johansson's children, he was born in 1956 and grew up in Solliden. He went to the University of Arvika and graduated in 1974. Already in junior high school, he started weaving as a 14-year-old apprentice. He continued with weaving after graduation and since 2003 has worked both as a weaver and designer at Klässbols Linneväveri.
Urban Johansson has been awarded the Excellent Swedish Form (Excellent Swedish Design Award) for, among other things, his towel design Ruler.
