We are proud to present Sophie Jungkvist, a unique textile artist who explores the possibilities of the fabric. Sophie did her internship here at Klässbols Linneväveri and has continued to impress with her creative and experimental approach to textile art.

In this exhibition you will see parts of her award-winning project Woven Change, Shifting Expressions, where she combines hand weaving with industrial techniques in a unique way. Her work is characterized by layers of patterns, transparency and shifting perspectives, inspired by hole curtains, waves and evening colors by the Glafsfjord.

Sophie also showcases new, fascinating fabrics that reflect her desire to experiment and push the boundaries between tradition and innovation. She has been educated at Handarbetets Vänner in Stockholm and the Textile College in Borås, and her work has won several awards, including Young Swedish Form 2023.
