Gläntan is a beautiful hole curtain in linen. A curtain that creates a nice detail in all the windows of the home. One of our weavers, John Johansson, fourth generation Johansson was actually going to weave and recreate another linen product, a tip from a colleague. In the pattern studio, he created a pattern for the purpose, which he then began to weave a sample of. A sample was woven and the fabric fell apart, it turned out to be a sort of circular weave and it wasn't quite what he had imagined.. He showed the sample to a colleague who happily said " This is a hole curtain! ". John paused his intended project and proceeded to create a hole curtain.

" An eyelet curtain is difficult to create on weaving machines, and in our machines you have to adapt the machine to the curtain as eyelet curtains are usually handwoven ." - John

Weaving technique: The hole curtain Gläntan is woven on white warp with elements of white or unbleached color. If a specific color is desired, just contact us. But with the help of the Jacquard, a round weave is woven.
