The Nobel cloth itself – A masterpiece of Swedish design craftsmanship.
The Nobel cloth is one of Klässbols Linneväveri's most iconic products and the heart of every Nobel party. Every year, this exclusive linen cloth adorns the tables during the prestigious Nobel banquet, together with the beautiful Nobel napkins. The Nobel tablecloth is part of "Nobel a magnificent tableware", whose design was awarded the Excellent Swedish Form in 1992. The Nobel tableware, which is also part of the tableware, was created specifically to celebrate the 90th anniversary of the Nobel Prize in 1991. It was inaugurated by the King and Queen at the grand banquet in the Blue Hall, Stockholm City Hall.

At Klässbol's Linneväveri, we weave the Nobel cloth and napkins with traditional techniques and modern design. The elegant grid pattern is highlighted by the way the light is reflected differently from the warp and weft surfaces. The classic Nobel napkins measure 70×70 cm and are woven in damask with a fine linen yarn that subtly highlights the Nobel emblem in one of the corners of the napkin.
