What is the Löfberg Family Business award?

The Löfberg Family Business Award was established in 2020 and is awarded with the aim of recognizing successful family businesses in Värmland that combine the commitment and participation of the owner family with business success. The prize is awarded by the Löfberg family.

About family business:

  • In family businesses, three systems interact; family life, business and ownership. It distinguishes family businesses from other forms of ownership.
  • Family businesses are often characterized by a strong local anchoring and long-term perspective, which often makes the companies more resilient in tough times.
  • Family businesses are by far the most common form of business in Sweden and thus have a special position in Swedish business life, both in terms of job opportunities and finances. Family businesses, for example, account for a third of all jobs, and 50 percent of the GDP of private business. (Source: FBN Sweden )
